April Chu's Inspiring Journey for Illustrating In A Village by the Sea

and her publicist, Chelsea Apple, on how she helped promote this beautiful picture book.

In a Village by the SeaPlease join us to hear illustrator, April Chu, as she shares how she illustrated the book, In a Village by the Sea. This will be a great opportunity to ask her questions about the incredible journey working and collaborating with author Muon Van.

Their publicist, Chelsea Apple, will talk about her work as a publicist and her professional realtionship with April and Muon. Find out what a publicist might be able to do for you!

This event is suitable for all levels of experince from just begun to well published, for both illustrators and authors!

Written in a spare, lyrical style using fresh, evocative imagery, In a Village by the Sea is about longing for the comforts of home while braving the adventures and perils of the wide world.

The perfect book for teaching about diverse cultures and lifestyles, children will delight in this beautiful story which pays homage to the vanishing fishing culture in Vietnam, honors courage and sacrifice, celebrates hearth and home.

In a Village by the Sea, will be available for purchase courtesy of Town Center Books in Pleasanton.

April ChuApril Chu began her career as an architect with a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, but decided to return to her true passion of illustrating and storytelling. April currently lives and works in Oakland, California. For more information, visit www.aprilchu.com.

 

 

Chelsea Apple is a publicist and editor with JKSCommunications, a literary publicity firm. She formerly served as an Assistant Editor at Hachette Book Group. She specializes in a diverse variety of genres, including children's literature, CHELSEA Applespiritual nonfiction, thrillers, poetry, and literary fiction.
