Scrivener 101, for Writers
The Basics, from one writer to another.

SPEAKER Natasha Yim, Author

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER 5/30/15. THERE WILL BE NO AT DOOR TICKET SALES.

Join Natasha Yim, children's author, freelance writer, and playwright as she introduces the basics of Scrivener's powerful tools to seamlessly move back and forth from organizing your research notes, outlines, ideas, chapters to writing your manuscript. This course will teach you how to set up a document or workspace on Scrivener, and walk you through a step-by-step process on using Scrivener's handy writing and organizational tools (from setting up your binder, importing files, writing and editing features, compiling and formatting your manuscript, and using the Corkboard and outline modes). It will also provide resources including additional tutorials on how to use Scrivener. This is a hands-on class so bring your laptop and have a draft manuscript you can work with. The Scrivener interface will be projected onto a screen so we can explore Scrivener together.

Prerequisite:

Since this is a hands-on class, attendees will need to have Scrivener 2.0 downloaded onto a computer. A FREE 30-day trial is available for use with the class. The beauty of Scrivener's free trial is that it's 30 days of actual use, so if you use Scrivener every day, your trial will be up in 30 days. If you use it just twice a week, you'll have Scrivener for 15 weeks! To download Scrivener, go to www.literatureandlatte.com where you can also purchase Scrivener ($45 for Mac version, $40 for Windows).
