Which Publishing Route is Right for My Book?
Jennifer Alvarez
Saturday, May 14, 2016, 2 – 4 pm
Sebastopol Center for the Arts, Sebastopol

Join author Jennifer Alvarez in this informative and interactive discussion about the routes of traditional, self, and hybrid publishing as they relate specifically to the children's book market. Children's publishing cannot be compared equally to any other market and Jennifer will explain why. As an author who has self-published and traditionally published children's books, she draws on her experiences for first hand knowledge. Jennifer spent several years blogging about self-publishing and has done extensive research in the field. No matter which avenue you decide to pursue, this discussion will provide a deeper understanding of the publishing process and will help you make the best decision for you and your book.

About Jennifer
Jennifer AlvarezJennifer Lynn Alvarez is the author of the new Guardian Herd book series published by HarperCollins Children’s Books. These middle-grade novels follow five herds of flying horses who are at war and a special pegasus colt who will inherit the power to unite them, if the leaders don't destroy him first. Book one in the series, Starfire, was chosen by The American Bookseller’s Association as a 2014 Best Book for Children and was also picked by Scholastic for their reading club and book fairs. Jennifer is also the author of The Pet Washer, a book she self-published in 2012.
