How and Why to Write Twisty Plots

Jennifer SolowayHas every story already been told? Perhaps. But if the reader already knows the story, then you can catch them off guard with a fresh, fun twist-or two, or better yet, ten! We’ll discuss ways to write plots with plenty of twists to surprise, excite, and satisfy from page one all the way to the novel’s end.

Jennifer represents authors and illustrators of picture book, middle grade and YA stories and is actively building her list. In addition to kidlit, Jennifer also represents both commercial and literary adult fiction. Prior to joining ABLA, Jennifer worked in marketing and public relations in a variety of industries, including financial services, health care and toys. She has an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College and was a fellow at the San Francisco Writer’s Grotto in 2012. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, their two sons, and an English bulldog.
